Macrame Christmas Ornaments + 11 Other Fabulous DIY Ornaments

Every year I like to come up with a new look for our Christmas tree. I do so by mixing up the ornaments that I already own, along with creating some new ones. This year, I thought it would be fun to create some macrame-inspired ornaments.

Also, this is an exciting day, because I'm joining 11 other bloggers for a really fun DIY Christmas Ornament blog hop! A big thanks to Krista, from The Happy Housie for putting it all together for us.
You can find the links to all of the other fabulous ornaments at the end of this blog post.

My Christmas Mantels over the Years.

The Mantel is one of my most favorite spots to decorate for Christmas.  Is it yours too?  The thought of Santa Clause coming down the chimney and out the fireplace is such a traditional story taught to us as children, and so there has always been something very magical about the fireplace at Christmas time for me.

End Of The Month Randomness [October]

Happy Halloween!!!

I started this End of The Month Randomness series last month for September and I had so much fun putting that post together that I have been looking forward to doing it again this month.  The main reason for this post is that it encourages me to clean up my picture files at the end of the month. I happen to take a ton of pictures every month, and so as to not take up too much of my computer's storage, I like to regularly go through all of my pictures, keep the best ones and delete all the rest.

As I'm going through my pictures, I realize that there's a ton of stuff that I never posted about. So today, I'm going to share with you some behind the scenes, project fails, and just random bits of my life moments.

Let's start with these adorable little pumpkins that my husband's secretary grew and gave to us.
I placed them in a tray in the center of our table.

My Favorite Space in our Home

I know I say this a lot, but our home office/sunroom really is my favorite space in our home. This room gets a lot of sunlight and is a really calm and peaceful space to be in. I've recently changed a few things around in this room and so I thought I'd share those changes, along with a tour of the rest of the room with you here today.

Our office/sunroom is located right off of the living room through a set of old french doors.

Halloween Entryway

On Friday the 13th my boys and I decorated for Halloween.
Most of our decorations ended up in our entryway, and I have to say, I think it turned out pretty cute and so I wanted to share it with you today.

See Our Lucky Green Kitchen Cabinets!!

I bet you already knew that my kitchen wouldn't stay all-white for long, Right? Ha!

Garden Fresh Salsa

My sweet neighbor, Pam, gave me some fresh veggies from her garden, along with a recipe for a really delicious salsa.  She gave me a taste of the salsa that she had just made, and it was so good that I immediately went home and made a batch up for myself. I asked Pam if I could share the recipe on my blog, and she kindly said yes.

End Of The Month Randomness { September }

As I'm cleaning up my picture files today (which I'm trying to get into the habit of doing at the end of each month) I realized that there's quite a bit of things that I didn't get around to posting about. And truthfully, this is the case at the end of every month. So many projects remain unshared for one reason or another. And So I have decided to create a new series that I'm calling, End of the month randomness. Here I will share some behind the scenes, project fails, and some of my life moments.
Let's get started!

So you saw my porch right after I painted my front door, Right?
